Increase in the Pay Rates for the Construction Sector

The Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, Damien English TD, has signed a Sectoral Employment Order which formally approves the recommendation from The Labour Court for new minimum pay and pension rates for workers in the construction sector with effect from 1st February 2022, with a subsequent increase due on 1st February 2023.

*While the Sectoral Employment Order contains an overall weekly figure of €48.70, we feel this figure should be €48.72

Sick Pay:

The CWPS sick pay scheme currently provides for an employer contribution of €1.27 per week and an employee contribution of €0.63 per week. These rates are also due to increase in line with the rate of wage inflation, however the exact figures were not available at time of publication.
